Jason Wallace (US House – Illinois, District 11): Jason Wallace, 26, was born in Normal, IL and has lived his entire life in central Illinois. As a student at Heartland Community College, he opposed the unconstitutional P.A.T.R.I.O.T Act by founding the Central Illinois Bill of Rights Defense Committee. Wallace served 17 months of active duty in Iraq with the Illinois Air National Guard. After returning to the US, he became an active leader of Iraq Veterans Against the War. Based on the positive response from community members to his activism and leadership, Wallace decided to run for Congress as a Green.

Wallace is invigorating the District 11 US House race with his fresh ideas and straightforward campaigning style. Seeing the corrosive influence of big money on American politics, Jason resolved to spend only $10,000 in small contributions over the course of his campaign. Jason Wallace’s moral courage gives Illinois voters who are disillusioned with pandering, do-nothing politicians the chance to bring real change to Washington.

From Green Party Watch:
Jason Wallace has 8% with 72% of precincts reporting. In a race that is considered highly contested between the corporate parties and has seen a ton of cash from all over the country, that is a real accomplishment.
